With the Olympics upon us, I’ve decided to compile my U-23. This team is not limited to players that are competing in the Olympics. Here it goes:

GK: Jan Oblak – At 22 years of age, Oblak already has a champions league final under his belt. It will be very exciting to see how he progresses in the next couple of years

LB: Jose Giminez – The Atletico Madrid back showed his defensive prowess in the Champions League and La Liga this past season.

CB: Raphael Varane – Varane has already played in a multitude of big games for Madrid and has always looked solid commanding the back four.

CB: John Stones – There’s a reason Stones is getting looked at by all the world’s biggest clubs.

RB: Hector Bellerin – Named on the Premier League best XI this past season, the young Spaniard sure has a bright future ahead of him

M: Dele Alli: After a wonderful season for Tottenham, 20-year-old Dele Alli is now on the radar of all the top clubs

M: Paul Pogba – He would be in my World XI regardless of age, so this was a no brainer

M: Leroy Sane – The young German from Schalke, with his pace and ability to take players on, certainly deserves a spot in this squad.

M: Kinglsey Coman – The young Frenchman just came off a great Euro performance and has also been great for Bayern at the end of the season.

ST: Romelu Lukaku – A powerful and tenacious target striker, Lukaku is shaping up to be a real world class striker

ST: Harry Kane – Kane has proven himself to be one of the best strikers in the world over the last two EPL seasons and he’s only 22 years old.

What do you think of this Squad?
